I’ve been working with people with developmental disabilities for over 48 years. After receiving my master’s in education, I started working at the State institution in Orlando running a cluster in St Petersburg to move to Tallahassee to open a 63bed ICFMR. I then was a consultant for 14 facilities throughout Florida, to a consultant for seven states from Florida to Washington State. Finished up my last 15 years before retirement as the COO of a supported living agency here in Tampa.

I had 3 months of retirement before I met back up with Juwanna and Miracles in Motion, Inc. She and her vision and her positivity drew me into the program that will be my last in the field. It truly is and has been the greatest and most fulfilling job of my career. The vision, mentorship, work ethic and positivity are unparalleled. As Assistant Administrator I try to emulate the positivity and vision in the Executive Director’s absence and be a sounding board, an extra person or be whatever the situation needs. I have been here for 8 years and am not ready for it to end!!
